Project Domus is complete, and has turned out to be very successful for group T2. We presented our work today which I have listed above for all to see. The critics were impressed with our design and the presentation of it. They believed we had completed a design that suited and complimented the landscape it was placed upon, and by our investigations into all the services we had planned to use it was obvious that it was a building that was self sustainable and did not take from the land. They enjoyed the journey from the entrance down along the coridoor and into the sleeping pods, then back on out to the decks surrounded by nature and the overall design which was organic. A few points of improvement was the lack of accessability for disabled people, they believed we should have designed more for this due to the first year studies regarding this situation, but our group was made up of four team members who were new to Deakin this year and were not informed of this, we were also under the impresson that residential building didn't need full disabled access. They also suggested that the toilet was not needed in the work space, we added it incase clients came to discuss future projects and didn't want them using our bathrooms located in the pods, a privacy aspect. But we were happy with the comments and constructive critisism we were offerred and will try to incorperate it into our future design works.
After many late nights, or even all nights from some members in the team, it became worth it with a mark of HD. Thankyou to all that helped our team achieve this result, espacially Ron, our tutorer. I now look forward to Archi2B. Cheers
