I got intruiged with the idea of positionaing my dwelling up on the third level between the
2 buildings, using the window as a way to enter the design.
Location 2: Situated on the front north face of the campus, at the entrance to the cafeteria are a series of steel columns approximately 5000mm in height. I looked at the idea of elevating my dwelling above the footpath using the already existing columns, but did worry about how much of an effect it had on blicking the windows from the wool stores looking out toward the bay.
Location 3: Situated at the south end of the Waterfront campus, next to the Costa Hall facility.
I once again looked at elevating the dwelling above the footpath again using the pergola to help put it up high. But are not sure that the timber slats on top of the pergola are near strong enough to hold the structure.
I then chose to follow on developing the idea in location 1, where the dwelling is located between the 2 wool stores up high on the third level. The sketches shown below are ones where i was exploring 'fold up' designing to make it detachable and moveable. Along with the preliminary floor plan design. In most of these sketches i also explored through sketch anthroprometric design and sizing of objects that will be needed inside the dwelling, such as toilet, shower, bed and kitchen bench.
