This project required a continuation of Tablinum with the idea of being able to live there with sleeping, working, eating and bathroom facilities.
I thought this shower system was quite innovative. A section of floor is tiled with a plug and when the clock strikes and it's Shower Time! then the occupant pulls a tube around themselves and goes ahead and washes. This could be quite a scene considering the state of undress of the occupant but it's space saving and effective and the Minima shelter is for a single occupant.
The desk system is combined with the bed. I originally thought of two separate moving components in one area. But after discussions with my tutor it developed into one smooth and refined system.

Image 1: the initial system of bed/desk eventually refined into one moving part:
Image 2: the desk is in position when the moving part is 'down'. This allows light into the room from the above window and when the bed is required the component is moved 'up' covering the window; blocking out unwanted light and providing privacy for the resting occupant.

The idea of moving walls and floors for the shower and bed/desk extending into the whole shelter. The final Minima scheme was two rooms separated by a movable wall. This allowed an overall small shelter but provided more than adequate space for the occupant to conduct certain activities in the different spaces. When the bathroom was being used space was taken from the (currently) unused living space, and vice versa.
This perspective view provides an image possibly seen by someone within the shelter. The movable wall can be seen on top of the shower at this time, the desk/bed is in 'desk-mode' and the sink and bench be seen opposite the window.
The final Minima shelter in a context view:
A member of the public can be seen next to the dwelling giving a sense of scale in the Jarvis Family Forecourt.
Along with two poster showing all of these image (and more) was presented along with a dissection collage:
